PHARMACY TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR

supported by DAWN PARRY, WELL PHARMACY, GLASGOW

Dawn began her Well career twelve years ago, starting off as an Accuracy Checking Technician and working her way up to her current position as Branch Manager. A vital part of her role is to deliver and exceed her store’s profi t and sales targets by leading, managing and co-ordinating all aspects of the day-to-day operations. Dawn has successfully implemented internal initiatives such as ‘one standard’ and ‘best in class’ within the branch, and these initiatives have signifi cantly increased effi ciency and reduced workload pressures for the team.

LAUREN BLACK, TLC CUMBRAE PHARMACY, MILLPORT

Lauren is currently the senior dispenser at the Cumbrae Pharmacy, and is the youngest senior dispenser in the company at only 22 years old. Lauren is the only full-time member of staff at the branch and has a huge responsibility for ensuring the continuity and smooth running of the business. Lauren is essential in managing the business, especially during those times when pharmacists cannot reach the island. She has been specifi cally trained in the Emergency Remote Dispensing protocol, which is an innovative solution to the problems of running a pharmacy on an isolated island in times of storms.

JEFF DICK, DEANS PHARMACY, EAST KILBRIDE

Contracted as a delivery driver for Deans Pharmacy, Jeff Dick’s job title serves as an injustice to the commitment, dedication and genuine compassion he has for patients of Deans Pharmacy. His seven-year service has allowed him to build a rapport with customers and strengthen trust from patients, relatives and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Delivering for a pharmacy is unlike other delivery jobs in that Jeff can be challenged with getting medication to someone who cannot answer the door because of mobility problems, deafness or blindness, but he overcomes these obstacles in a way that always maintains the patient’s dignity!
