Corfe Hills School brings generations together for festive tea
It’s Christmas and time for Corfe Hills students to give back to their
community. Residents
from three care homes in the Broadstone area have been invited to enjoy a festive afternoon at Corfe Hills School on Wednesday 13th December.
This festive tea started a couple of years ago as a result of an application for a Youth in the Community Fund. School council members and prefects enjoyed the day so much that, despite limits to the funding, they have made it a priority for this year as well. Since last year’s visit some students have completed work experience at the homes, which has also maintained the contact.
Entertainment will be provided by the students, which will include a range of musical items and performance from our recent school production “Sweet Charity,” which was performed at the Lighthouse, Poole. There is even a visit from Father Christmas planned where the guests receive a Christmas gift bag.
We would be grateful if any local businesses or members of the community would like to donate small boxes of chocolates, stationery items or magazines in support of the festive party. Please drop them off at our reception at Corfe Hills School, Higher Blandford Road, before Monday 11th December.
