Telecoms system gives businesses total control
A cloud-hosted telephone system which gives businesses total control of company telecoms has been developed by West Bromwich telecoms specialist, Midshire. HostTX (Hosted Telephone Exchange) has been launched by Midshire, the industry-leading office telecoms provider, and the system means that calls can be made and recieved from any location via an internet connection. No equipment has to be located in the user’s office apart from the desk handsets and the system is suitable for businesses of all sizes.
‘The Hosted PBX market is saturated with the same solutions’
Midshire’s Marketing Manager Jamie Callaghan
said: “As an example, you could take your phone home with you at the end of the day and plug it into your internet connection. You can then make calls as if you were still in the office, presenting your office telephone number. This is great for flexible working and staff who are rarely in the office.” HosTX comes with a Telephone System Portal, so management teams can report on call statistics and also create ring groups for different departments. This gives the business complete control of telecoms. Mr Callaghan added: “With today’s workforce becoming more and more mobile, the businesses

telecoms infrastructure needs to be flexible to deal with the changing market, whether working from home, abroad or in the office. “The Hosted PBX market is saturated with the
same solutions, giving the end user little flexibility for their needs. However we believe this all changes with HostX. We’ve utilised Broadsoft’s many years of experience and technical expertise to create a hosted solution which is feature-rich and cost effective.”
Law firm launches school helpline
A Midland law firm has launched a legal helpline service to give schools and academies easy access to expert advice on employment and governance issues. Thursfields Solicitors’ new
Education Helpline Service will give education clients prompt specialist
support by phone and email for an unlimited number of issues. Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard, a
senior associate solicitor at Thursfields’ Worcester office and head of the firm’s education sector, said: “The changing structures of UK education means many schools
and academies are facing the challenge of having to deal with their own legal issues. Our new Education Helpline Service means we can help our clients to meet that challenge, working closely with them and offering robust, practical advice to find the best solutions.”
