eastern edge of the Straight and ensured that our ever-changing work and storage areas remain safely and securely fenced-off at all times. We also prepared temporary storage accommo- dation for our exhibition fit-out contractors (Elmwood Ltd) in the ex-British Airways portakabin recently vacated by our Concorde maintenance team and assisted with planning, preparing and carrying out the Wellington’s successful relocation to the restored Bellman Hangar on 25th July. Most recently we have dealt with the aftermath of the Wellington move including rescuing displaced equipment and accessories and liaising with contractors De Boer who finished dismantling the Wellington Pavilion and removed it in remarkably quick time from 27th to 28th July. record of that now historic event not only shows some of the vintage cars and motorcycles and their drivers and riders (some of whom raced here pre-war), but also shows certain British Aerospace factory buildings in the background as well as the seriously neglected Test Hill and east end of the Members’ Banking before Society track clearers tackled these areas later that decade. For aviation enthusiasts, this film confirms that Eric Brooklander’s 1964 Antoinette monoplane replica (ex-Those Magnificent Men... film) was definitely there on static display as was the sole surviving original Hawker Cygnet G-EBMB (designed by Sydney Camm in 1924 and believed then still airworthy with Hawker Siddeley at Dunsfold but retired and transferred to the RAF Museum at Hendon by 1972). We would be very interested to hear from anyone who attended this Reunion, especially if they remember any details to add to the report published in the August 1971 issue of the Brooklands Society Gazette.
