T

he re-opening of the Finishing Straight at the Double Twelve Festival marked the launch of the Museum’s campaign to raise the final £250,000 of the £8.1m total cost for the Aircraft Factory and Race Track Revival Project. Using the iconic images of the finishing line of the motor racing circuit and the Wellington assembly line inside the Bellman Hangar, The Line is in Sight… seeks to encourage donations from all the Museum’s friends and supporters. We have already received a number of generous donations from Brooklands Trust Members, but if you can contribute to the campaign please visit www.brooklandsmuseum.com/reengineering look out for one of the eye-catching leaflets or e-mail me, the Museum’s Development Director, via davidnagle@brooklandsmuseum.com All donations are gratefully received and those over £1,000 (which can be paid in instalments) will be featured on one of the new Donor Boards which are being commissioned for the Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed. Despite some challenges, which have been detailed in the Bulletin before, the team has made a fantastic effort to hit the increased targets required by the project and with your help they can cross the line!
