Youth Spotlight: Amy Lamberth Amy Lamberth is a 14-year-old ninth grader at East View High

School in Georgetown, TX. She primarily rides English and loves to jump but she can also step up and do the all-around events. She shows in Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, Appaloosa and Andalusian shows. Why horses?: I got started in horses thanks to my mom, who had

ridden horses previously to having kids. I remember the first horse I rode was an older quarter horse gelding named Sunny, just walking around. Horses have always been an outlet for me. They are my passion. Moment(s) you will always remember: I'd have to say winning

3 titles this year at the Appaloosa Youth World Championships (after 4 years of trying!) Favorite horse(s)? My first show horse, Cody, who taught me

everything. Alias, who made my dreams come true this year. And Glitzi. She is my unicorn. Favorite event(s)? I love to jump. Role model? My trainer, Anna. And of course Rodrigo Pessoa.

Superstitions? I still believe in unicorns.

And lucky socks and belt. Gotta have ‘em. Future plans with horses? I want to

train, compete, and someday ride in the Olympics. Career path you are considering? I'd

like to go to law school, so I can afford horses. I'll do some horse training in the meantime. Advice for others with horses? Give

your best to your horses, and they'll give their best to you. w
