Losses George Robert “Bobby”


Pidgeon, 84, died July 14. Though the passionate horseman lived in Moscow, TN, he owned Bar H Ranche in Weatherford. In 2005, he was inducted into the NCHA Hall of Fame and over million dollars in lifetime NCHA earnings. He owned Dual Pep, one of the leading stallions in the cutting horse industry, and also CD Olena, 1994 NCHA Open Futurity Champion and 1995 NCHA Horse of the Year.


Don Trout, Sanger, died July


26 after fighting cancer. He and wife Debbie have been in the horse show photography business for 47 years.


Paul Taylor, Pilot Point, died


August 1 at the age of 87. When he was a livestock auctioneer from Irving in 1957, he began Paul Taylor Saddle Company, selling merchandise from a cargo trailer en route to auctions. He and his family have operated Paul Taylor Saddle Company in Pilot Point since 1985, and it has been one of the largest family-owned retail tack stores.
