A new specialist facility for eyes has been opened at The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead as part of its £8 million refurbishment programme launched last year. The ophthalmology (eye care) suite features the latest in diagnostic equipment and will be the first time that the centre’s internationally-renowned, seven-strong team of consultant ophthalmic surgeons can be seen under one roof. Consultant Ophthalmic, Corneal and Refractive Surgeons Damian Lake and Samer Hamada gave talks on multi-focal lenses for astigmatism and new frontiers in dry eye management.
Maggie Middleton, Hospital Manager, said: “We’ve harnessed the expertise of a highly-talented, multi- disciplinary team to deliver only the very best in visionary care. Utilising their knowledge in this way means that we
can respond to patients who need the help of more than just one specialist in and around the East Grinstead area.” • Visit www.themcindoecentre.co.uk
