A quintessential English pub set in the picturesque hamlet of Hernhill, just a few miles from the historic towns of Faversham and Whitstable, and the City of Canterbury
Serves excellent food, appreciates customers and aims to provide an excellent service; pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed. One word of advice is to book a table becuase it is popular, and I’m not at all surprised!

e believe in supplying quality fresh produce and take great pride in working with the best
local suppliers to create delicious and diverse dishes for our seasonal, ever changing menus and daily specials. Our style can be described as contemporary Kent and features incredible local lunchtime specials, a walkers’ menu and Butcher & Trawler boards to share.
Sunday lunches at The Red Lion are as popular as ever with the fi nest cuts of
meat (the highlight being the sirloin of beef). Whether it’s for a quiet family lunch, a birthday or special occasion, our Crown Post restaurant upstairs can hold up to 50 seated guests.
At the bar you will fi nd a drink for whatever mood you’re in. From our premium lagers, Peroni and Curious Brew, to real ales, Master Brew, Harveys and a local guest. We work closely with our vintner to select wines to complement our
dishes from all over the world.
During the summer, if you’re on your way to the beach, or a pitstop on your country walk, be sure to come and make the most of our beer garden.
The pub is open all day (lunch stops at 2.30), and we have the lovely garden with a small entertainment area for younger guests, and we welcome dogs. There are a few tables at the front that look across to the church and are excellent suntraps!
