UNIVERSITY GOES FOR GOLD AWARD
The University of Northampton has received the Gold Award in the Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework – the highest rating possible which places it among the elite of the UK’s higher education institutions. The Teaching Excellence
Framework (TEF) has been introduced as the only official table which recognises high-quality teaching that better meets the needs of employers, business, industry and the professions, in addition to guiding students on the best places to study. The official judgement by the
Government’s review stated: “The TEF Panel judged that the University of Northampton delivers consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students. It is of the highest quality found in the UK.” The Government found the
following to be “outstanding”: • Levels of employment or further study for graduates
• Assessment and feedback • A personalised student experience
• Academic support • The approach to involving students in research, scholarship and professional practice.

VAN RETAILER TEAM DRIVES AWAY WITH ACCREDITATION
A Volkswagen authorised van retailer in Northampton has become one of the first van centres to have its entire workforce accredited by the major manufacturer. The accreditation for the team at Vindis Van Centre Northampton recognises the high quality of service that is provided by the award-winning staff who put customer service at the heart of everything they do. Vindis Van Centre business development manager
Craige White said: “This is a family-run business and we have a strong customer service ethos. “We firmly believe that every customer deserves to
be treated with warmth and respect and appreciate that each business has its own individual needs. “We’re proud to be one of the first van centres to
have its entire workforce accredited by Volkswagen and of the awards we have won for customer service. Unlike many other retailers we are a dedicated commercial site and as dedicated fleet specialists we’re on hand to offer advice and solutions to suit firms’ needs.” The centre covers the whole country and any
business that purchases five or more vehicles receives support from the brand and the centre. Craige added: “We’ve had some fantastic new
vehicles this year, including the Crafter and the 3-litre V6 Amarok. It’s an exciting time because we have so many great options for businesses.”
