Exploring the burgeoning FOOD & BEVERAGE sector in Northamptonshire

CATERING DEAL IS JUST THE WICKET

Tom Hewer Catering is working on exciting plans for Northamptonshire County Cricket Club that will enable it to cater for up to 710 covers in one area. The specialist stadia caterers

began work on the project after it formalised its relationship with the cricket club in June. The deal means it will take over

the venue’s catering facility from 1 October, providing the full catering solution for match days and non-match days. Tom Hewer Catering business

development manager Mike McAuley said: “We’ll focus fully on the customer experience, making sure our offering is second to none. “We’ll support the club through

this summer’s games, while writing the menus and developing the site, to make sure the club becomes the number one venue in Northamptonshire for conferences and events, including Christmas parties. We’ve also applied to hold

weddings and expect to host our first weddings in August. “Once we complete the planned

works, we’ll be able to cater for up to 710 covers in one area and for over 1,100 guests in our three main function spaces at any given time.” One of the key attributes will be

executive chef, Lee Scott who has worked at Michaels Nook in the Lake District, a Michelin Star restaurant, Radisson SAS in Manchester and the two Michelin-Starred Sea Grill in Brussels. More recently Lee worked on ‘The Claridges Of The Sea’, the world’s most exclusive cruise ship, with only 65 passengers, each spending £10,000 per week.
