WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? Graduated from University in 2004 with a 2:1 in Business Management. I was lucky to get a job straight away at a local IT company as an account manager. I worked my way up the ranks and, after 12 years of working, I left as sale manager and joined NewGen IT as joint managing director.
WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO? NewGen IT is a SME Cloud and Managed IT service provider, focusing on elevating its customer use of business information technology. Whether you need computer or network support, data protection, managed IT Support, network support or cloud solutions, you can trust us to deliver concrete results. We are 100% committed to your satisfaction and success.
HOW DID IT ALL START? NewGen IT was established in 2013. I was approached by Stephen Souch who owned NewGen IT in 2016 to come and join him as a partner which I initially declined, but after a few conversations the opportunity was too good to refuse!
WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR? Personal – building a stable and happy environment for my family. Business – I’m working on it!
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU’VE EVER TAKEN – AND DID IT WORK OUT? To date NewGen IT is my biggest risk as I joined the company in its infancy, but it’s a risk I’m happy to have taken as the journey so far has been incredible. The future looks bright!
WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST IN YOUR JOB? Within the small business community there is a natural willingness that people have to help each other grow.
WHICH BUSINESS PERSON OR COMPANY DO YOU MOST ADMIRE, AND WHY? Impossible to single this down to one person, as I have had the pleasure of working with a few inspiring businessmen.
WHAT EXCITING PROJECTS IS YOUR BUSINESS WORKING ON? We are in the process of becoming a Telecoms solution provider and will soon be able to offer our customers Cloud based VOIP systems.
WHAT MADE YOU JOIN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE CHAMBER AND HOW ARE YOU MAKING USE OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP? Having worked with the Chamber in previous roles I have seen first- hand the benefits of being part of a local business community. As a growing business in the county it is important for NewGen IT to broaden its network and strengthen its existing relationships.
