of markets and because of our expertise we can make quality products of mild and stainless steel. We will never say ‘no’ to clients who have a new idea or a new market for us to explore. “We have been successful over the past 70 years because we


know that customer aftercare is just as important as attracting new clients. We strive to make sure our customers are happy and consequently we have a loyal client base. In addition to this we follow the ISO 9001 NQA standard so customers can be assured we manufacture quality products. “It has also always been important to us to support our


community. Over the years, we have donated items to local schools and one of the ways we will celebrate our 70th anniversary is by donating a maypole and a play pole to a school in Wellingborough. “We are a family firm and historically we have also employed members of other families, including sets of brothers and parents and their children, so we are like one big family. “Sadly, our father Phil died in 2013. If anything his death has


made us even more determined to ensure our business is successful – not just for us and our staff but because we are so proud of what our father achieved and we want to carry on his legacy.”

BACKGROUND: Sartoris Products Ltd began life as a small engineering firm specialising in tubular steel fabrication. It was founded in 1947 in Sartoris Road, Rushden. The company moved to George Street, Irthlingborough, in 1951 where it operated from two wooden buildings for the next 42 years. In June 1993 it moved to its current premises in the Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough.


COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Sartoris Products manufactures steel products for the construction sector, flag manufacturers and the boot and shoe industry, carry chairs for evacuation and is a stockist of castors and wheels for industries in Northamptonshire. It manufactures storage equipment for schools and colleges and play items, such as its renowned maypoles, through its award-winning Educational Aids brand. It also manufactures quality storage solutions for motorcyclists through its BikerTidy brand.


JOINING NORTHAMPTONSHIRE CHAMBER:We joined the Chamber to make use of the advice and support available to small-medium size businesses. We have recently used the services available from the International Team as we look to develop exporting links for our BikerTidy range.
