AFP Services is a Northamptonshire-based outsourcing company, run by a group of finance professionals. It has been offering financial management, supply

chain administration, and bookkeeping to all types of businesses, from Southampton to the Scottish Highlands, for 15 years. In 2002, it employed just two people, but since then its

workforce has steadily increased and, in 2016 and 2017, it really focused on growth as its main driving force. It focused on recruitment due to expansion into new

areas of business, such as supply chain administration, and bolstering its financial accounts and management accounts teams which have taken on new clients. The firm’s culture is friendly, respectful, open, mature

TAKING THE STEPS TO DEVELOP STAFF

A family-owned children’s day nursery has received an award for being a good employer. Footsteps Daycare in St

Peter’s Way, Northampton, has been presented with an award from learndirect in recognition of its efforts to develop its staff through apprenticeship awards. In the past two years alone

the nursery has helped more than 20 apprentices to progress their Early Years careers. Footsteps Daycare nursery manager Theresa Rock said: “Apprenticeship awards give everyone an opportunity to excel and to do well within a business. Not only those who have performed very well academically but also others who may have struggled within a classroom setting. “We are thrilled to have

received this award from learndirect because it recognises our efforts to be a good employer.” The nursery cares for children

aged from three months old to five years. Each age group has its own room and dedicated team.
