Updates from the 2017 NCHA
Conference in Texas
Competition Committee - NCHA is forming a new committee with represen- tation from Limited Aged Events and Weekend Shows to receive and as- sess all competition re- lated matters.
New Unlimited Amateur Class - at Limited Aged Events, an unlimited ama- teur class will be offered on a trial basis for riders who have won over $50 000 but are still consid- ered amateurs according to the NCHA definition.

Horse Association Direc- tor Eric VanBoekel placed not once, but three times at the NCHA Non- Pro in Oklahoma. Van- Boekel tied for third in the 4 Year Old Unlimited Amateur on Ichis Ice Man, and placed 5th and 14th in the 5/6 Year Old Unlimited Amateur on Peppys Cashin Checks and Time For Desire.
