Fundraiser boosted by fine dining lunch
Anoki fine dining Indian restaurant has played host to Midland Doctors Association’s annual fundraising lunch, which raised £61,000 for the Derby-based charity. Over 100 guests attended the
fundraising lunch at Anoki, on London Road, Derby. Midland Doctors was established
in 2005 following the Southeast Asian Earthquake, which devastated parts of northern Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. The charity now works to provide a positive impact on health care in Pakistan for the poor and less privileged. Commenting on the event, the

Joules volunteers care for nature
Staff volunteers from Joules have planted 260 saplings at Fosse Meadows Nature Reserve as part of the Leicestershire lifestyle brand’s first Team Challenge for Leicestershire Cares. The Leicestershire Cares Team Challenges see volunteers from local businesses give their time and energy to help community groups and charities. Joules, based in Market Harborough, is set to tackle eight Team Challenges in 2017.
Clegg and WI join forces to transform space
A historic green space in Nottingham is set to be transformed after the Women’s Institute (WI) and Nottingham City Council joined forces with two local businesses, including Clegg Construction. Clegg Construction is supporting the restoration of the Barker Gate Rest Garden by providing its services for free and working with members of Nottingham City WI to create defined spaces within the park, including a section dedicated to wild flowers.
