Collins Bus Turns Golden Yellow as Company Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Little did the industry know 50 years ago when Don Collins, Sr. first started the business that Collins Bus that it would grow into the largest manufacture of Type A, MFSAB, day-care and MPV buses in North America.


The original name of the company located in Kansas City, Missouri was E-CON-O Conversion. After developing the first small school bus in 1967, the company relocated to Hutchinson, Kansas and formed Collins Industry in 1972, Now, Collins Bus is part of the
