the simplest form, an opportunity to live in the best way pos- sible. “Of all the human pursuits, striving to transform oneself into a higher possibility is considered the most sacred. It is this pursuit that fulfills the purpose of the human form and it is this pursuit that brings well-being to all life.” Sadhguru has composed a powerful two part program called Inner Engineering that is designed to instill a deep sense of inner balance, joy and mental clarity through self- awareness and meditation. The first portion is designed to be done at home at your own pace. The second is an invitation to learn a live process with Sadhguru this coming fall. Sadh- guru adds, “I want you to know the power, the liberation of another kind of science—the inner science—through which you can become the master of your own destiny.”

Inner Engineering is part of a non-profit program through the Isha Foundation. The second portion of the program will be conducted Nov 5-6th at the Garden State Exhibit Centre in Somerset, NJ. A

nn Fonfa’s organization, The Annie Appleseed Project, will be sponsoring two educational conferences on complementary medicine in 2012. Fonfa’s personal journey has driven her to educate others about alternative therapies. As she shares, “When I was diag- nosed with breast cancer in 1993 I also was suffering from extreme chemical sensitivity. Things had gotten so bad that I was reacting to

informed cancer treatment decisions.” The upcoming conferences are an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals as well as experts in the field. The dates are March 1-3 in West Palm Beach or September 14-15 in San Francisco.

My doctor was shocked when I said I was going to do yoga.” In exploring the range of alternatives, Fonfa knew that

she wanted to provide this information for others. Thus, AnnieAppleseedProject.org began in 1999. Fonfa explains, “We’ve been placing information on our site about natural substances, lifestyle changes, complementary and alternative treatments —looking at them from the patient perspective. There are so many possibilities to reduce toxicity of conven- tional treatments, enhance their actions or to use afterwards. For those like me who chose another route, there are many paths to wellness discussed. We help people make more
