Annual Fall Fair at Green Meadow Waldorf School
or more than 30 years, Green Meadow Waldorf School has been opening up its beautiful, 11-acre wooded main campus in Rockland County for the Fall Fair. This year, the fair will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include puppet
F
shows, a hayride, cider pressing, candle dipping, face painting, jump rope making and a cakewalk.
Several bands will be performing throughout the day and families can sample fabulous organic food, including sushi made by local Japanese families and freshly made desserts. More than 25 vendors and artisans specializing in beau-
tiful knitwear, handmade children’s toys, art stationery, pot- tery, and gourmet food will be selling their wares as well. The alumni panel at 3 p.m. offers prospective parents the chance to talk to graduates of the school. “This event brings out people from all over the tri-state
area,” said Vicki Larson, Director of Communications and Marketing at Green Meadow Waldorf School. “It’s a chance for Green Meadow to showcase everything that’s important to us, and we hear every year that the fair is what initially attracted people to send their children to our school and join our community.”
Free admission and parking. Activity tickets are $1 each. Green Meadow Waldorf School Main Campus is located at 307 Hungry Hollow Road, Chestnut Ridge. For more informa- tion, contact Bill Pernice, director of Development, at 356- 2514 x328. See Mark Your Calendar listing, page 40.
