Area 3 News

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Sum- merama! Once again it was an awesome show! The weather was close to perfect for showing hors- es and a great time was had by everyone. Entries came from all over Ontario the United States and Eastern Canada. Thanks to our generous sponsors there were great prizes and awards again this year. Also thank you to our loyal members and exhibitors who faithfully come out to support our club. Together we are a success!

With the show season well under way it is hard to believe we have one show remaining. Be sure to mark your calendars, book your stalls and join us for the Novice Show/Summer Circuit. This show will be held on August 12-14, 2011 at the Orangeville Fairgrounds. The Novice Show has proven to be inviting to new exhibitors and at the same time offers great competition and prizes. There are Hi Point Awards for Novice Youth and Novice Amateur. Medallions will be awarded to 1st through 6th place as well as a 1st place prize for each class. There will be random prizes, free clinics and four $25 draws. Thank you to Rene and Sherry Robataille for sponsoring the Novice Show awards.

New this year is Pleasure Driving, Small Fry Trail and Green As Grass Walk/Jog Trail. The Adult Walk/Jog Division is open to anyone who has not earned an AQHA point in a loping class. An added bonus to this division is it’s “no bling”! Horsemanship will be rail work only at the walk/jog with no pattern. The trail course will be done at the walk and jog.

This show is an excellent opportunity to come and participate. Try a new class or just come and see what the Area 3 Promo- tional Club has to offer the AQHA exhibitor.

Although the season is coming to an end the Area 3 Promotional Club works year round to continue to offer the best shows possible. At times it can be difficult to ensure that the shows we offer continue to move forward and that it is the best experience for the exhibitor. The Board of

Directors are dedicated, determined and loyal to you and our club. We are always welcoming new members, directors, vol- unteers and sponsors. With our focus on improvement, moving forward and growth we can achieve great things together! All information, forms and contacts can be found at www.area3.ca. Look for- ward to seeing new and current exhibitors in August!
