All The Right Stuff A NEW HEALING PARADIGM by Linda Sechrist
The astronauts of the NASA space program aren’t the only people who possess all the right stuff for exploring new worlds. Individuals like Susie Prestidge, a registered nurse and the owner of Reconnective Healing San Diego, regularly demonstrate several of the admirable characteristics of an explorer: a sense of adventure; a desire to continue learning; an open mind; and the courage to grow, change and go beyond the known paradigm in which most people live.
tive Healing practitioner who provided significant relief from the lower back problems that had periodically plagued her for 10 years. “I knew I didn’t want to have surgery or take pain medica- tions, so I sought a holistic approach,” says Prestidge, who has been a labor and delivery nurse for 14 years. “My back was better by the second session, and after the third, something not at all related to the pain shifted inside me and I knew that I had somehow changed, but couldn’t explain how.” Interested in learning more about

what had happened to her and about The Reconnection, and Founder Dr. Eric Pearl’s Reconnective Healing frequencies, Prestidge enrolled in his Level I, II and III seminars in 2009 to learn an energy healing technique that changed her conventional understand- ing of health and healing. “All the doors

opened up for me, and I knew I was to do this work, though it was nothing I’d ever dreamed I would be doing,” advises Prestidge. Although she loves nursing and
continues to work at one of California’s top hospitals, Prestidge is very passion- ate about her Reconnective Healing practice. “Most of my clients simply come in search of an alternative therapy; they have never heard about this non-invasive, non- touch approach, which allows physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing to occur,” explains Prestidge. During a session, she works in the energetic field that sur- rounds the body, bring- ing in a high vibration

of energy that raises the individual’s vibratory rate. This allows the physical body to shift back to a state of health and wellness. “It’s a hard concept to grasp, and the best way to understand it is to experience it,” she enthuses. While Prestidge is excited that her
nursing colleagues are interested in what she is doing outside of the hos- pital, she particularly appreciates the opportunity to share her energy work at holistic health fairs, because it gives her the chance to be in a room full of like-minded people. “I don’t have to play down my energy work, and I get to do lectures and group healing sessions, where people share stories about their experiences,” advises Prestidge, who notes that many of the practitioners of other modalities are interested in learning about Reconnective Healing frequencies, which she says are strong and palpable. According to Prestidge, they can nor- mally be felt through physical sensation tests, and research studies are now in progress. “I even got to participate in the
research when I attended my first seminar,” she says. In Hamlet, William Shakespeare wrote, “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horation, than are dreamt of in your philosophy…” Through her willingness to go beyond the paradigm in which most people
