e think that many would agree with us, when we say a lot has happened in the last 18 months. The economy has become stronger
and more positive and a good sense of optimism has sprung back into the bathroom industry. New products and ranges have flourished from leading manufacturers, helping customers to design their perfect bathroom and encouraging them to be more unique than ever before.
We understand that it’s not just the quality of product that it is important, but also the consistent level of support that needs to be present. As we have stated before, combining the two equates to the customer possessing confidence in the company and ensuring that they look upon us in the future. By investing in stock, building and staff, Claygate has expanded even further since last year. Our new 30,000 sq ft extension to the existing 115,000 sq ft premises was opened in May 2013 and has rapidly welcomed and housed new products from new and existing manufacturers. Alongside this, expanding into South Wales and East Anglia has also been a triumph, as our concentrated efforts have resulted in acquiring a healthy customer base. In addition to our extensive Price Book, we
have introduced a new brochure, simply named, Washroom Solutions. Meeting the demand of the rapidly changing theme of washrooms, the publication is designed to focus on the commercial side of bathrooms rather than the domestic. There is now an understanding within the industry that something as essential as a bathroom or washroom in commercial premises doesn’t necessarily have to be seen as just ‘an essential’. It can be highlighted along with the rest of the property and compliment its surroundings. Not only do we want to help our customers to quote for these types of contracts but also we want to elaborate how important it is to create a clean, polished and stylish look whether it is for the home or the business. This
doesn’t necessarily mean that we are looking to go into that part of the industry completely, but it creates another option for a lot of our customers whose main business is to quote for these types of products. By offering a range of choices and combining these with support, it provides a platform of confidence between our customers and us. Whatever condition or position the economy or industry maybe in, as long as the distributor creates the perfect balance within the B2B partnership, it will produce a positive outcome. With this balance present, Claygate has been able to flourish steadily and create solid connections with new customers and strengthen existing partnerships.
