Bellissimo – the full spectrum B
ellissimo has always prided itself in being first to market with new styles and finishes,
and offering an unmatched choice of colours and woodgrains within its ranges Bellissimo has taken great strides in 2014 in its
mission to provide more choice and be first to spot new trends. Earlier this year, Bellissimo took a close look at
white. White has remained dominant but has had a renewed boost in the past year. While grey has gained ground in the kitchen, according to Watson, it has not proved popular for bedrooms, where white has made quite a comeback. With this in mind, Bellissimo added two matt
choices to its line-up for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. Porcelain and Cashmere offer respectively a bright, fresh and a more muted, softer variation on the theme of white. Bellissimo managing director Warnock Watson
says: “White never left the premier league, but we saw signs of it regaining its dominance, and matt is an important and growing part of this. But it can be surprising how much tastes can vary within the white theme, and our latest shades cater for this.”
Porcelain and Cashmere can be specified in bespoke sizes and curves as required.
Woodgrain – rustic yet modern Woodgrain has also been the subject of some eye- opening developments. Bellissimo’s Pisa proved a show-stopper at KBB and has lost no momentum since. This handle-less PVC-edged melamine kitchen range in horizontal woodgrains with matt finish was the result of careful research. Watson: “We knew the time was right for a really authentic rustic woodgrain range in matt with fashionable horizontal grain.” Pisa offers five woodgrain colours: white, bleached stone, beige, light walnut and grey drift. With 65 sizes plus panels and accessories, including a 300mm x 300mm convex curve, the new range offers the flexibility to create bespoke kitchens in any situation. “For customers looking for something authentic
and trendy but a bit different, Pisa is ideal. It really is a very fine rendition of rustic timber and the quality gets top marks. Everyone who has seen it has been highly impressed,” said Watson.
Glass – the crowning glory As if to prove that choice is what it is all about, Bellissimo then added the sophistication of glass doors to its kitchen portfolio. With 25 colours to choose from, Bellissimo’s new Genoa range combines the practicality and durability of toughened glass, with a depth of finish which no other surface can match. The glass itself carries the colour, which is
enhanced by a silver backboard. This makes the most of the reflective properties of the glass and ensures longevity. Doors can be made to any size and non- standard colours are available. “Genoa brings an exciting new dimension to our
kitchen range,” said Bellissimo managing director Warnock Watson. “It’s an inspirational finish which will create a great talking point with customers. Combined with a handle-less profile rail, the end result is just stunning.”
