GATEWAY LOCATION SAP EXPANDS


PHASE II HIRING FOR SYNCHRONOSS


US mobile innovation company Synchronoss Technologies set up a research and development and operations centre in Galway in 2010, with an initial planned 50 jobs. Last year, the company said it was starting the second phase of its hiring plan with a further 30 jobs announced. “The market for connected devices and cloud solutions is


exploding and our business must keep pace with industry dynamics,” said the company’s founder, chairman and CEO Stephen G Waldis. “Our R&D efforts are critical to our success and we need to continue hiring innovative and creative minds across the globe.” “The growth of Synchronoss adds greatly to the vibrant ICT cluster servicing the global market from Galway,” said IDA Ireland CEO, Barry O’Leary.


GALWAY FACILITY German software company SAP recently announced plans to create a further 100 jobs at its Galway facility to provide additional resources for the company’s newly created Cloud Services & Support Centre. The Galway facility is home to a multilingual services and support centre for the company’s SME and multinational enterprise sectors. Managing director at SAP Ireland Liam Ryan said the announcement was all about gearing SAP up for the company’s next wave of technology innovation.
