CLOUD, ANALYTICS AND LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES


Learnovate Centre An industry-led centre of excellence for research and innovation in learning technologies hosted by Trinity College Dublin with the mission of enhancing the competitive advantage of Ireland’s learning technology industry.


Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce – IC4 A multi-institutional research centre located at Dublin City University, including researchers from University College Cork and Athlone Institute of Technology. It carries out applied technical and business research in cloud computing in areas chosen by its industrial members.


Centre for Applied Data Analytics Research – CeADAR An industry-led technology centre initiative for innovation and applied research that accelerates the development, deployment and adoption of data analytics technology and relevant innovations.


ENERGY


Technology Centre for Biorefining and Bioenergy – TCBB The TCBB facilitates research and development of a viable and prosperous Irish biorefining and bioenergy sector.


International Energy Reseach Centre – IERC This collaborative programme of research and innovation in integrated sustainable energy systems has a large scale ambition to develop globally applicable solutions with a research budget of over €30m.


Innovation for Ireland’s Energy Efficiency – i2e2 This centre is carrying out research in areas of energy efficiency in industrial, commercial and manufacturing such as compressed air and industrial smart grid.


MANUFACTURING AND MATERIALS


Irish Centre for Manufacturing Research – ICMR Focused on manufacturing productivity, the ICMR is carrying out research in training and development, virtual methodology, cycle time, predictive maintenance, data analytics and supply chain.


Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre – PMTC The vision of the PMTC is to support and develop the Irish pharmaceutical industry (small and large molecule) by improving manufacturing competitiveness and enhancing the research and development mandate and activity of Irish pharmaceutical manufacturing sites and companies.


Irish Centre for Composites Research – IComp Hosted by University of Limerick in partnership with University College Dublin, IComp provides a focal point for world-class composite research, innovation and technology transfer within an agenda set by its 14 industrial members.


Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland – MCCI This centre is focused on carrying out microelectronic circuit research for the benefit of industry with the vision of being the No 1 industry-led analogue, mixed signal circuit research centre in the world by 2018,


Collaborative Centre for Applied Nanotechnology – CCAN CCAN helps Irish companies make more competitive products by applying Ireland’s leading nanotechnology and advanced materials expertise to address the companies’ technology development challenges.


FOOD AND HEALTH


Food for Health Ireland – FHI A leading global innovation centre for the development of nutritional functional ingredients to improve health, wellness and quality of life. Its mission is to leverage the world-class scientific capabilities of its seven academic partners with the market expertise of its five industry partners into a pipeline of products for the global food industry.


Applied Research for Connected Health – ARCH An initiative that conducts innovative and applied research to support the deployment, adoption and reimbursement of connected health solutions steered by a group of industry partners actively involved in the sector and led by University College Dublin.


BUSINESS PROCESSES AND FINANCIAL SERVICES


Innovation Value Institute – IVI This centre was co-founded by NUI Maynooth and Intel to create a global gold standard for IT management – the IT Capability Maturity Framework. Its mission is to research, develop and disseminate empirically proven and industry validated IT best practice.


Governance, Risk and Compliance Technology Centre – GRCTC The GRCTC is an industry-led centre of excellence for innovation and research in semantic technologies for GRC in financial services with the goal of building a portfolio of innovative, applied research projects that collectively address the significant challenges facing the financial industry.
