Classic market UK manufacturers displaying included Wasp, Drayton Frames, Mark Seward Racing and Progressive Classic Products. Wasp works manager Mark Coombs said the Salisbury, Wiltshire, business made 100 solo off-road and five sidecar
cross frames (pictured above) last year. Wasp prices range from £1530 for the trials frame to £6900 for the sidecar frame with wheels (prices retail plus VAT). Wasp will undertake bespoke frame building. Responding to customer demand, Coombs said that Wasp is now investigating VOSA single vehicle approval so that Wasps can be road registered. Wasp founder Robin Rhind-Tutt, now 72, made his first frame in 1962 and started the business in 1968. Beta dealer Mark Seward (MSR), displayed a selection of trials models using Wasp frames. These included a Honda, Fantic and BSA. His father Tom, an off-road Ariel collector, delighted fans of British iron with his classic display.

The show was packed with traders including outdoor autojumblers catering for classic off-road enthusiasts, who formed a long queue to get in on Saturday morning. The show included road race machinery, with collector Chris Wilson displaying five GP and TT machines – one a 2011 ex- Valentino Rossi MotoGP Ducati V4. Star guests included 19 times TT winner John McGuinness.
