launches e-Series News

Bridgestone B

ridgestone Golf has launched the latest

generation of its e-Series golf balls for 2013, and the new line-up will be on public display for the fi rst time at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show this month in Orlando. The three new models are due to arrive at retail in February, with an RRP of £25.99 per dozen across the range. Bridgestone says the major advance

the company has made with the e-Series revolves around (if you will) new dimple technology. A new 326 Seamless Dual Dimple cover increases the dimple surface area on the ball by six per cent compared to previous models, and Bridgestone promises that the new e5, e6 and e7 balls will be less restricted by drag off the clubface as a result, leading to improved ball speed, and therefore greater shot distance. “The e-Series has been growing in popularity in recent times and has

proved a big hit with the many golfers who have attended our ball fi ttings,” Steve Kettlewell, managing director of Bridgestone Golf UK (pictured), tells SGB Golf. “The new Dual Dimple technology gives the range even more impetus moving forward.” The e5 ball has a two-piece, urethane construction and is

geared for golfers looking for maximum height in their ball fl ight. The e6 is three per cent soſt er than its predecessor and Bridgestone claims it is the soſt est multi- layer ball on the market - designed for reducing spin for a straighter ball fl ight and improved feel. The e6 is the UK’s top- selling e-Series ball, and now comes in high-visibility Yellow and Orange, as well as in White. The new e7 is the e-Series distance ball. A ‘speed-enhancing core and spin- reducing inner layer’ should boost ball speed and shot distance. www.bridgestonegolf.com
