Finalists for the categories of Newcomer of the Year and Executive PA Magazine: PA of the Year were invited to the Royal Garden Hotel on the afternoon of the awards for a brief interview for a final round of judging. The judges were:
Abby Wright-Parkes Abby Wright-Parkes is Director of Membership for the Institute of Professional Administrators and the
Institute of Administration Management. She has strategic responsibility for developing the member- ship offering for the organisation’s 17,000 members. She was previously director of membership for ACEVO, the third sector CEO body, where during her five years there, she was instrumental in devel- oping the membership offering and profile.
Gemma Swain Gemma Swain is Head of Sales for SecsintheCity, the UK’s leading job board for PAs, secretaries and office
professionals. Prior to her role at SecsintheCity, Gemma worked as a recruiter in the secretarial and office support sector.
Cora Lydon Cora Lydon took over as Editor of Executive PA Magazine at the end of 2005, following several years writing features for
the magazine. She’s worked as a journalist since 2000 and now enjoys meeting Executive PA Magazine read- ers at regular reader events. Over the last two years Cora has built up the Executive PA Magazine ‘reader panel’ with members from all over the UK who regu- larly contribute and comment on news and features.
