waterproofing European Liquid Waterproofing Association member (ELWA), Tremco Illbruck, has launched its innovative ‘Tremproof’ range, a system designed to meet the demands of a vast range of applications including green roofs, planters and below ground waterproofing. A single component, one coat, primerless system that bonds directly to fresh/green or damp concrete, the Tremproof product range offer significant time savings for the installer. With no mixing required on site or primer and surface preparation, the rapid curing liquid system can be applied in a single coat and once applied, covered in just four hours.

Companies Hydropath Holdings have announced a free new educational service to all companies.The water treatment product manufacturer is rolling out its training programme to other energy suppliers, water companies and Specifiers within the Plumbing and Heating industry. Harlech’s waste Cemsix corrugated sheet from Cembrit, specialist in cladding and roof slates, has been used at a recently constructed recycling plant in Wales. Built by Gwynedd Council at a cost of £1.6 million, the plant in Harlech, has been developed in response to the Welsh Assembly’s target of composting and recycling 40% of waste by 2009/2010. The Cemsix was supplied to, and fitted by, local company, Refurb Solutions. The Cemsix provides a good looking, durable and weatherproof outer-skin to the building. Cemsix is available in natural grey and eleven attractive pre-coloured options.

New specification for Cast Stone Issues over consistency in cast stone manufacturing have prompted the UK Cast Stone Association to produce a new generic specification for this hugely popular building material.The Specification for Cast Stone tackles the need for high product strength & high operating standards, including independently verified testing regimes and reporting. Cast stone produced by UKCSA members is at least 40% stronger than the requirements of the updated standard & backed by rigorously monitored quality assurance & testing.
