MODERN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION 47 New concrete floor

A high performer The new Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at Watford General Hospital, which was built off-site by Portakabin subsidiary, Yorkon for ProCure21 partner Medicinq Osborne, is now among the best performing emergency care services. Constructed as part of a £25m ProCure21 contract, the new building comprises 142 steel- framed modules manufactured and substantially fitted out off site by Yorkon in a £12m contract, reducing the programme time by around six months and minimising disruption to patient care on a very busy hospital site. system for healthcare The PremierPlus Building System from Waco UK can now offer the option of a healthcare building with factory installed concrete floor. PremierPlus offers a clean, modern and comfortable healthcare environment at a competitive price. This can be provided in a much shorter timeframe compared to a traditional building. The new concrete floor increases the acoustic dampening qualities of the building and also reduces vibration in high traffic, high equipment load areas, such as plant rooms or MRI and X-ray. The concrete floor option is ideal for use in hospital theatres.
