Kaba Door Systems has been working with many public sector organisations for many years and not only has a product portfolio to meet customer requirements but also ensures compliance to all relevant industry regulations and guidance.

Kaba has championed technological advancements in automatic and industrial door systems and has developed a portfolio of sliding, swinging, folding, curved sliding doors together with roller shutter and sectional overhead doors that not only exceed current legislation, but are also beautifully designed, efficient and reliable providing solutions for equal access and security.

The innovative automatic sliding door operator SLX, exceeds current regulations and also provides the flexibility and convenience of elegant contact free access. The electronic operating systems are linked via a communications bus (CAN Bus). This system is unique to the Kaba SLX and is a computer network enabling components to communicate with the processor continually making the door extremely safe with immediate fault recognition. This industry unique product has enabled Kaba to introduce the SLX-SB automatic bi- parting fire protection door which is tested and approved to exceed British Standard BS476 part 22:1987 and European Standard BSEN 1634-1:2000. The doors resist flames and provide a thermal shield for more than 30 minutes. In addition they help reduce the propagation of smoke. The doors divide rooms into fire sectors, delaying fire spread and the SLX-SBF breakout door transforms into manually operated swing doors in the event of a fire providing an open escape route for rapid evacuation. In this operating mode the doors close after use reinstating the fire screen.

As well as offering outstanding products Kaba provides maintenance contracts, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair services. PPM can increase energy efficiency and ensures that all access assets are running efficiently and operating effectively and safely. A proactive maintenance schedule should ensure that these assets are always running at maximum efficiency. Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) anticipates the wear, tear and changes of all site doors and continuous monitoring ensures peak efficiency and minimises deterioration.

With many high profile clients across sectors such as health, education, local government, retail, industrial, building groups and architectural practices, Kaba demonstrates a depth of experience and expertise which is unsurpassed. Within Kaba we are proud to work as a team and strive to consistently exceed customer expectations, through a values based organisation built around quality, trust, self-leadership and teamwork.
