STRONGRAK With regard to sizing, it is a very gener-
ous cut. If you are also generous in size, it will fit just right. If you are on the thin side, it would be a good idea to order one or two sizes smaller than you would normally wear. There are Velcro waist adjusters which allow for about an inch of tightening on either side. I picked a hot day for my first ride with
this jacket. Once I got moving at highway speeds on my naked bike, I was delighted that the jacket, which is loose on my frame, did not ride up my torso even though I had not fastened it to my riding pants. Actually, I could barely feel the jacket at all due to its light weight. There didn’t seem to be any areas of skin chafing at the neck or wrists that can often occur with motorcycle jack- ets. The venting was very effective. On my next ride, I wanted to see how it
would perform on my RT with a large after- market windscreen. I was reasonably com- fortable. Not quite as cool as I was on the naked bike, but there was a nice cooling sensation through the back vents, probably due to back draft from the windscreen. I also got some airflow through the upper sleeve vents. When at a stop, the black fab- ric does get warm from the heat of the sun. A lighter color might be better in this regard, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Over- all, on a faired bike, I would say the venting performs as well as other vented jackets but without the weight. For hot weather riding it is hard to beat
this jacket. It definitely makes riding in the heat of summer more enjoyable. The BMG Zodiac II Motorcycle Jacket
carries an MSRP of $139. For more infor- mation, visit

PROS: lightweight, looks good on and off the bike, bargain pricing, doesn’t have that “damp wool sweater” feeling of mesh gear
