February 24-26, 2015 | Houston, Texas HOUSTEX 2015 PREVIEW
Booming Energy at Houstex
H
oustex 2015—to be held Feb. 24–26 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston— will feature hundreds of exhibitors highlighting the latest manufacturing technologies, and new
interactive opportunities. Attendees will enjoy scores of new product demonstra-
tions, hear experts share insights on industry trends, and make connections that can take their company to the next level. On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Lynne D. Taschner, Energy Advisor, Corporate Strategic Planning, Exxon Mobil Corporation, will give an outlook for the energy sector. Among Exxon’s projections: Global energy demand is expected to increase by approximately 35% from 2010 to 2040, even as communities across the globe continue to fo- cus on energy efficiency and greater diversification of energy supplies. Industrial sector energy demand is expected to grow by about one-third from 2010 to 2040. About 85% of that increase will come from two subsectors: manufacturing and chemicals. Urbanization and rising living standards will continue to drive industrial demand for energy, primarily from non-OECD countries. Key technologies and products will also be on display, including the following:

grooves in Inconel 625 clad overlay in less than one minute, adjust-
able and replaceable cartridge design for easy maintenance, machining
the groove and chamfers in one operation, and grooving in stainless and alloy steel. All Ring Max line cutter bodies and components are precision machined to exacting tolerances, eliminating the need for tool adjustments. The Ring Max II’s unique design ensures accurate seating and secure locking of the insert cartridge into the cutter body. The Ring Max III design includes all of the features of the Ring Max II in a high- precision, two-piece modular system with many head and shank configurations, including adaptability to Greenleaf’s Excelerator face mills.
