CNC Machining Apps Three new ITAMCO bundled apps—CNC Machinist, Practical Machinist and Ultimate Machin- ist—are available through the Ap- ple App Store. The CNC Machinist App Bundle includes four apps to help users build a CNC program and the settings for sending them to a CNC machine tool, including the Feed Rate Calculator, which calculates feed rate and speeds; Grid Pattern Support, which gives X and Y positions for a grid pattern program; a Bolt Hole Circle Calcu-
lator for calculating coordinates of a bolt hole circle based on the number of holes and X, Y coordinates; and iDNC, the first iOS DNC settings app for CNC machine tool controls. DNC settings for multiple machine controls and types including, but not limited to, FANUC, Siemens, Mazak, Okuma, Haas, and many more. Also includes FTP (file transfer protocol) client server for part programs for CNC controls such as FANUC. Also available are four apps in the Practical Machinist bundle, and 10 apps bundle in the Ultimate Machinist bundle. ITAMCO

Drive Safety Option A new safe-torque-off option within the Allen- Bradley PowerFlex 700 medium-voltage drive helps industrial manu- facturers and equip- ment builders simplify functional safety designs and meet the demands of international safety standards. Safe-torque-off technology allows users to reliably remove power from the motor without removing power to the drive, enabling a faster re-start of the system after a safe state is reached. When a safe torque off command is issued in the drive, from a user or a demand on the functional safety system, the PowerFlex 7000 drive immediately removes rotational power to the motor, ceasing the process. The drive stays powered and reliably monitors this “safe” state, ensuring no unintended operation of the motor is possible. Suitable for industrial applications, such as

material-handling conveyors and grinding mills, the Power- Flex 7000 drive with safe-torque-off is TÜV-certified. It is also certified to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 of IEC 6150, and Performance Level e (PLe), Category 3 of ISO 13849-1, the highest levels achievable for drives. Rockwell Automation Inc. Updated Measurement Systems
Company has enhanced its line of meters and scopes to in- clude borescopes, a tachometer, a humidity and temperature indicator, pocket thermometers, and a moisture meter. These offerings—many with NIST-traceable calibration already completed and ready to use—provide sought-after efficiency for many applications. Among the enhanced products, the Digi-Sense borescope and video borescope are suitable for inspecting ductwork, wiring, piping, vehicles, and other
