Niagara Cutter is a Seco Tools company.
HIGH PERFORMANCE THREAD MILLS FOR APPLICATION OPTIMIZATION Designed to meet the expanding need to produce threads in composite materials, Niagara Cutter’s High Performance Carbide Thread Mills achieve higher quality threads with increased productivity and consistent performance. Available in a wide range of thread sizes and diameters, these tools surpass traditional tapping while allowing higher cutting data and achieving longer tool life. Niagara Cutter off ers several options including AlCrN coating, CVD diamond coating, extended reach and coolant-through tooling.
MICRO MILLING SOLUTIONS Engineered, designed and tested to meet the demanding requirements for medical, aerospace and electronics manufacturing, Niagara Cutter’s proprietary micro-decimal end mills provide high performance and are available in one-thousandths increments ranging from 0.005" to 0.060". These tools are manufactured from the highest quality sub-micron carbide substrate and are available in a wide range of geometries and coatings for increased consistency, accuracy and productivity.
MACHINING COMPOSITES WITH DIAMOND END MILLS Niagara Cutter’s expanded line of CVD diamond coated products is engineered specifi cally for machining high performance composites. The unique micro and non-crystalline matrix creates a hard, abrasion resistant coating that achieves impressive results in graphite, green ceramics and composite materials, such as MMC or CFRP.
DiamondGraphite™ tools provide
unprecedented tool life and performance for machining graphite.
DiamondPlus™ coated tools excel
in diffi cult machining applications, such as high silicon aluminum, carbon fi ber composites, metal matrix composites, plastics and other non-ferrous materials. DiamondPlus tools are also much more resistant to abrasive wear than traditional diamond coatings.
To address the growing need for diamond tooling in other specialized machining operations, Niagara Cutter has developed and expanded its CVD diamond coating off ering to include reduced diameter micro tooling with extended reach end mills in standard sizes.
