Every project brought to Greenleaf begins through the


diligent interaction of our Sales and Service Engineers with our customers or from a direct request from a customer.


How We Work The starting point for this or any project is gathering


information at the customer site by the local Greenleaf Sales and Service Engineer. It may or may not include customer drawings, machine and fi xture data, material specs and existing constraints, deadlines, or diffi culties. But the more complete the information, the better and quicker a resolution. Typical information includes scope of work, part drawing or model, raw material type (forging, casting, bar), level of machining capability and fi xturing availability, programming resources and fi nished part. Once information is gathered, our Application Engineers and/or the Engineering department communicate with the Sales and Service Engineers to review the project information and goals. At every step of the process, our customers can interact with any and all of our Greenleaf team to ensure that solutions are consistent with machining resources available and timelines agreed upon, or to resolve unforeseen changes in the project. It isn’t uncommon for us to recommend that new high-speed machining capability be added to optimize performance of our highly engineered whisker-reinforced ceramic or coated carbide inserts. But Greenleaf technology and application expertise can maximize performance of legacy machine technology even at lower speeds.
