Tulsa, OK – Motorcycles have been an integral part of the Tulsa Police Department since 1923. Harley-Davidson® for much of this time and the Tulsa Police Department acquired Harley-Davidson® FLHTP Electra Glide®


motorcycles have been a part of the department’s history motorcycles in 2005. The Motor Unit’s goal is to ensure safety on


the streets of Tulsa for the motoring public through traffi c enforcement and education. In 2014 the Tulsa Police Department Motor Unit began teaching a free motorcycle safety class open to the public in order to teach skill enhancement to riders. The Motor Unit itself conducts monthly training in order to maintain their skills and conducts qualifi cation on a quarterly basis. Below: left to right Cpl. Dave Crow, Off. John Knighten, Off.
