Baked Spaghetti Serves 6 to 8


• Nonstick cooking spray • 16 ounces uncooked spaghetti • 1 tablespoon butter • 1 cup chopped onion • 1 cup chopped green pepper • 1 pound ground beef • 28-ounce can chopped toma- toes with liquid


• 4-ounce can mushrooms, drained


• 2-ounce can sliced ripe olives, drained


• 2 teaspoons dried oregano • 2 cups Borden Cheese Mild Cheddar Shreds


• 10-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup • 1/2 cup water


• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

In large, nonstick skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat until hot. Sauté onion and pepper until tender. Add ground beef and cook until beef has browned; drain. Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano. Bring to boil and reduce heat to medium. Simmer 10 minutes.


Place half of spaghetti in pre-


pared baking dish. Top with half of vegetable-meat mixture. Sprinkle with half of cheddar cheese. Re- peat layers. Combine soup with water; pour over casserole. Sprin- kle with Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered 30-35 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
