Ozarks Electric Cooperative Scholarships
Do you have a high school senior? If so, make sure they apply for the Ozarks Electric Scholarship, due on Friday, April 21.
Each year we give out more than $25,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors. Over the past fifteen years, we have given out more than $300,000 to help local students further their education.
Current high school seniors whose parents or guardians are members of Ozarks Electric Cooperative are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Winners are selected based on financial need, academic achievement and community involvement. This non-renewable scholarship may be used at a university, community college or technical school.
Students who wish to apply should contact their high school guidance counselor to obtain an application, or visit

In addition to the traditional scholarships given, Ozarks Electric Cooperative offers one scholarship for High Voltage Lineman Certification. The value of this scholarship is $7,870 to attend Arkansas State University ar Newport, Arkasas for one calendar year.

Capital Credits: Your Cooperative at Work
As an electric cooperative, there are many things that make us unique. One thing that truly stands out is annual capital credit allocation. Like most well-run businesses, our annual revenue generally exceeds our expenses. However, unlike other businesses, our membership receives any excess revenue we earn, based on the amount of electricity used during the year.
So when you receive your capital credit check in April, know that it’s a simple reminder that we are proud to share these successes with you.
