CEO VIEW Continued from page 1

We consider it our job to keep you informed, and to help you make smart energy choices. Above all, we make a point every day to show that you are a member of your cooperative, an owner who has a voice in how your business operates.

This is the cooperative difference.

To help ensure your voice is heard, TCEC conducts a wide-ranging survey that rates how satisfied members are about our services. Satisfaction is measured by the respected American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). Results are compared not only with other electric cooperatives, but also with ACSI data from other utilities.

The survey also measures how satisfied and how aware members are of specific services we provide. Needless to say, members are not shy about telling their cooperatives how they feel.

An independent third party will call members in April to conduct this year’s member survey. I would like to thank those of you who participated in past surveys and who will consider responding to surveys in the future. All the information helps us learn where we can do better. And believe me, we want to do everything we can to exceed your expectations. n

Energy Efficiency Tip of the Month

Warmer weather is on the way! Use energy efficient window treatments or coverings, like blinds, shades and films, to reduce heat gain in your home. These devices not only improve the look of your home but also reduce energy costs.

Electrical Safety Tip of the Month

Trees beautify our

neighborhoods, and when planted in the right spot, can even help lower energy bills. But the wrong tree in the wrong place can be a hazard - especially to power lines. For a guide to planting trees in the right place, see www.tcec.coop.
