INSIDE-THE-PARK HOTELS AND LODGES
FAIRMONT CHATEAU LAKE LOUISE Built in 1890 as a simple one-story log cabin, today this landmark chateau sits beneath Victoria Glacier on the shores of a blue green lake. By day postcard perfect silhouettes of the Rockies pose in seasonal vignettes as wildlife, hikers or skiers pause and play in the distance. At night the stars come out, celebrity guests included, inviting with a glittering sky show reserved for the privileged few.

the overall scenery. We loved the relaxed atmosphere at Jasper Lake. – RAY WHITTEN, AZ
The Money Shot
You may not have heard much about glacially fed Moraine Lake, a hidden alpine jewel tucked in the clouds in the Valley of Ten Peaks in Banff National Park. But the beautiful deep blue water with a backdrop of towering snow-capped mountains is one of the most photographed spots in the Canadian Rockies. It’s more like a million dollar view, but this iconic image was used on the back of Canadian twenty-dollar bills issued between 1969 and 1979.
A Day in the Park
A wilderness playground that invites discovery everywhere you look, it can be difficult to know what to do first. So that you experience an exciting parade of natural treasures, we’ve included a choice of guided adventures for your day in the park. They include whitewater rafting, a wildlife discovery tour or a trip on the tramway with a visit to Jasper town.
FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS The locals call Fairmont Banff Springs, a former railroad lodge built in 1888, the “castle.” From its majestic architecture to its rich history as an icon of luxurious mountain hospitality, its royal presence as the crown jewel of the Rockies is undeniable. And once you partake of hotel amenities you may not expect in the wilderness, from a world-class spa to fine dining, golf and more, you might never want to come down from this kingdom in the clouds!
