in temperatures up to 60°C. With a size of 6.2 x 11.5mm the laser can be integrated easily into handheld products and systems where space is at a premium. The laser produces a beam with an optical power of 1mW. The LC-LMP series is a popular choice for alignment applications where budgets are tight.

Laser Quantum will be showing its Taccor 1GHz spaced frequency comb. The development of the Taccor comb is an extension to the existing range of 1GHz lasers. The comb comprises a powerful 1GHz turnkey Ti:sapphire laser and a matched dispersion compensation module, super-continuum generation, and ultra-stable f-to-2f interferometer, all in a single sealed and stable housing.
employ two LC cells for achieving enhanced performance, while other models are polariser-free for offering
higher open state transmittance. Analogue greyscale operation between fully open and closed states is realised by voltage amplitude modulation, allowing the shutters to be used as variable filters. Compared to mechanical components LC-based devices are vibration-free with no moving parts. LCT will be exhibiting its
PolarView-ND, which is a variable neutral density filter optimised for flat spectral properties and uniform angular transmittance with minimal colour shift.

Portable & Handheld Analyzers In partnership with Menlo Systems,
the Taccor comb is fully stabilised using the XPS800-E feedback loop electronics. It provides an electrical output signal at the carrier-envelope offset (CEO) frequency with at least 40dB signal-to-noise ratio in 300kHz bandwidth. The comb also offers high repetition rate enabling generation of significantly higher super-continuum average power.

LC-Tec Displays will be exhibiting liquid crystal (LC)-based fast optical shutters, fast polarisation modulators and variable polarisation rotators. Shutters consist of a polarisation modulator in the form of an LC cell positioned between polarisers. Applying the drive voltage reorients the birefringent LC molecules, changing the phase retardation of light passing through the LC cell and the transmittance of light through the full shutter structure. Some models
