Unique range of shooting experts offer advice
Top gun brands have joined forces to deliver training to keen consumers and show off their latest products at a special range day held at Euston Estate in Suffolk.

t’s not often that end users get the chance to pick the brains of the men behind some of the best-known products and brands in the industry. But a joint venture between distributor Edgar Brothers and a number of its well-known brands, Swedish sight manufacturer Aimpoint, moderator and rail maker Barton GunWorks gave them the opportunity to do just that. Tickets for the unique event, priced at £30 each, were made available through the estate offi ce, giving consumers the chance to fi nd out more about ballistics with

ammunition expert Hornady, test their shooting skills with Savage rifl es and Bushnell scopes and top off the experience with a Barrett .338 Lapua Magnum rifl e, hitting targets at 300 metres. The 30 visitors and the experts ended the day chatting through their experiences over a barbecue featuring venison from the Euston estate. In addition, they got the chance to test out the latest shotgun sight from Aimpoint and pick up a string of tips from one of the top shooting trainers in the world, Erik Ås. The event was the brainchild
of Dr William Westlake at Barton GunWorks, the Edgar Brothers team and Chris Rogers from Euston Estate. William revealed: “This is the fi rst time I have organised something like this for the end user, although I have supported many such range days with Edgar Brothers and others, specifi cally for shops and distributors. “As I am lucky to be well connected in the UK gun trade I pulled in some favours and some friends to try and give end users a rounded day on what is ‘new’ in the gun world.” One of the key events during
