Germans appoint sole UK distribution of Umarex
John Rothery Wholesale creates full repair and warranty centre as it vows to make life easier for Umarex dealers

ohn Rothery Wholesale (JRW) is promising an easier route to market for Umarex products as it enters a new era as exclusive distributor for the famous marque. Umarex is the world’s leading seller
of replica guns for purchase over the counter and Europe’s largest importer of airguns and airsoft guns. The new deal sees an end to
Umarex’s dual distribution deal, which saw both Rothery and Armex selling to the market. JRW will be distributing the entire Umarex range, with the exception of airsoft. Bob Rothery told T&G: “Having worked with Umarex for many years, we are delighted to be trusted with the exclusive Umarex agency for the UK. “Umarex is the World leader in licensed reproductions of famous gun trade brands and models. The CO2 production again leads the World in quality and consistency and the continued investment of Umarex and Rothery’s will make a winning combination for the future.” Umarex managing partner, Eyck Pflaumer, added: “We are very pleased to have found such a committed partner. Together we can serve the

UK market even better in future.” The realignment of distribution is the final step in Umarex’s reorganisation of activities in the UK. Oliver Lux, export director for Umarex, said: “I am glad to say that in this way we can really do justice to the feedback from the specialist trade.” JRW states that life for the dealer should now be easier. “Orders for Umarex items can be combined with our thousands of other products,” adds Bob. “For example, Umarex orders can be combined with Air Arms, Bisley, etc from one supplier with one invoice and one bill to pay. “It will fall under our usual high levels of service. We will be handling all repairs, warranty and non-warranty. We are also building an inventory of spare parts here in the UK to send to retailers.” T&G understands that there are a host of new Umarex products in the pipeline including more licenced GLOCK models and the revolutionary Umarex RP5 CO2 pistol. Umarex currently holds licenses
from Beretta, Browning, Colt, GLOCK, Hämmerli, Heckler & Koch, IWI, Oberland Arms, Ruger, Smith & Wesson and Carl Walther.
