Goldwyn Ruby 2 is the dam of the Gerard son, Warnelview Reward who is a proven sire at Genus. “The Ruby line descends from a milking heifer purchased from Colin Jones’ Stilbrook herd while restocking after foot-and-mouth. We purchased three small herds from South Wales – Crewilpool, Stilbrook and Canrikka, families from each herd have blossomed for us which has been really rewarding.”

Another family which has been flushed at Warnelview is the Nita family which bred Warnelview Final Cut Nita, the Wilson’s first EX96 classified homebred cow. Having had five calves and not produced a heifer the decision was made to flush her to Seaver, resulting in seven heifers and three bulls. Nita won numerous local shows and was best cow in the 2015 Winter Classic herd competition and part of the top 10 winning team. In her fifth lactation she produced 13,716kg at 5.32%bf and 3.38%p, proving she combines type and high production. She is out of an EX91 classified Lee and then a granddam scored VG89 by Weeton Brittany.


Warnelview Jasper Irene is classified EX95-5Eand has produced 115 tonnes and still milking in her seventh lactation.

The Irene family has been good at producing heifer calves, with the exception of Warnelview Jasper Irene who has only had twin heifer calves from seven calvings. Classified EX95-5E she has already produced 115 tonnes and is still milking.


Another EX95 cow in the herd is Warnelview Shaker Beatexus. She was the first EX95 classified cow in the herd and has achieved 100 tonnes.
