Trane has launched its new Sintesis Advantage chillers and heat pumps. The Sintesis Advantage air-cooled scroll chillers are available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in capacities

from 300-700kW, enabling cooling in ambient temperatures from -20 to 52°C.

A compact design, with a footprint reduced by 22% versus the previous generation, allows for easy installation, making the Trane Sintesis Advantage particularly suited to industrial and process applications. The Sintesis Advantage off ers three diff erent levels of effi ciency and, to ensure the maximum desired acoustic comfort, three diff erent levels of noise attenuation. Units equipped with a heat recovery option can also produce chilled and hot water simultaneously.

All units in the Trane Sintesis Advantage portfolio are compliant with all applicable European Ecodesign Regulations under the ErP Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament.

Swegon Air Management

The FlowDisc circular ceiling diff user is now a member of Swegon Air Management’s Air Diff usion family.

FlowDisc has been designed to cause as little disturbance to its surroundings as possible. Used for supplying and extracting air, the diff user is engineered to be quiet, aesthetically pleasing and simple to install and maintain. It consists of two parts: a fl at upper section and removable diff user face, allowing easy access for maintenance. This means a HVAC system no longer needs to be unattractive and left to build up with dust, dirt and oils. The bottom plate of the FlowDisc has two height settings, making the slot opening and air volume adjustable in size. The upper plate has a completely fl at surface so that it can be mounted onto a concrete ceiling, blending into the overall design of the space.

The sleek look and simple functions of FlowDisc make it the perfect high-end alternative to a bathroom extract, well-designed to be used in luxury hotels and chic apartment blocks. FlowDisc is also well-suited for application as a ceiling supply diff user in apartment entrance halls, commercial offi ce or retail spaces, and residential properties. www.air-diff

Wolseley Climate Center is the fi rst acr supplier to launch an online refrigeration selector tool to help engineers specify products on the spot.

The new tool uses four simple steps to help customers fi nd the best Danfoss system and components for their cooling project. Once the selection is made, the customer can download the technical system PDF, save, email, or order the system into their chosen Wolseley Climate Center branch for delivery or collection. Live stock availability allows users to see when and where they can collect products.

Amind major industry changes regarding the phase-out of higher GWP refrigerants, Wolseley Climate Center has ensured that the tool includes options for R404A and new generation refrigerants. Marcold Group of Companies customer and service director, Blair Reid, said: “It reduces email and phone call traffi c. The equipment selections can be chosen for diff erent refrigerants and the selector allows you to compile a full install pack including pipe, insulation, solenoid valves, controller and expansion valve and a suitable orifi ce.” Wolseley Climate Center’s Refrigeration Selector is available on desktop, tablet and mobile.
