Air Conditioning Ancillary Product of the year

VPX7 - RunQuick 10CFM Vacuum Pump Fieldpiece Instruments

T

his range of Vacuum Pumps ensures that the best vacuum practises can be achieved, and ensure that the engineers out in the field have the most suitable, convenient, fast and lightweight machines available. This was achieved by listening to what the field engineers need – and created a product that is a true breakthrough in Vacuum Pump technology. The Fieldpiece VPX7 10CFM Vacuum Pump has a 3/4HP DC motor, available in both 110v or 230v models, which makes it ideally versatile for large commercial and industrial refrigeration applications – with the 10CFM rating reducing the evacuation time considerably on large volume systems.

The RunQuick Oil Change system has also been

redesigned, which means that there is a larger, more easily visible oil reservoir to ensure that the oil condition can be clearly seen at all times, thanks to the bright LED lights that are situated behind the reservoir. We have kept our industry leading oil change time, meaning that a full oil change can be carried out in less than 20 seconds, without spilling a drop of oil – this process can be achieved with the machine powered off OR whilst the machine is still running, without losing any of the vacuum progress.

Combine this with a removable reservoir fascia ensures that the field engineer can easily and efficiently carry out a full reservoir clean should the application require it.

Refrigeration Ancillary of the year Bitzer Digital Network (BDN) from Bitzer

B

itzer's new Digital Network (BDN) opens up almost infinite possibilities for improving refrigeration system

performance, reducing running and servicing costs, and minimising the impact of cooling systems on the environment. The need to deliver these impprovements

has never been greater. The key is timely information about how systems are performing in the real world, and the ability to easily adjust and optimise them.

The latest intelligent compressors – and the networks they are part of – give us direct access to both real time and historical data, which opens up huge opportunities to improve performance, minimise costs and reduce environmental impact. The new digital infrastructure, the foundation

for this revolution, is now being put in place. At its heart are intelligent compressors and refrigeration systems connected into a higher level network for monitoring and sophisticated data analysis.

It is at this supervisory level, which gives

rapid access to the wealth of data and insights, that the power and potential of digital services comes into play.

Bitzer has been working on developing the

new digital infrastructure for some time. Once the potential benefits became clear, we made it a strategic priority. After successful trials in Europe and South America over the past two years, we are now rolling out our Bitzer Digital Network (BDN) in the UK and globally. BDN brings together the company’s in-depth product and application knowledge with real-

time intelligence and data from working systems. We use this to provide customers with actionable insights that can be used to improve all aspects of system performance.

It also gives access to the latest technical information relevant to compressors and components in systems. This includes everything from an electronic parts database, online documentation and software, in addition to compressor monitoring and advanced analysis.
