CONTENTS From the editor W
elcome to the May issue of ACR News.
The current buzz phrase
is ‘net zero’ and this is not surprising given the rapidly approaching 2050 deadline to be net zero. Yes, ‘rapidly’ even though it’s 22 years away which
seems a long time. As we reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and greenhouse gases, the ability to reduce further becomes distilled and therefore harder. So the UK has ambitious, but essential targets such as 68% by 2030 – and that is less than eight years away. Anyone who’s had a child in their life knows that eight years is a very short amount of time. In this issue we focus on net zero and industrial refrigeration and we also celebrate the winners of the ACR News Awards which were held in March. I hope that you find informative and interesting.
