Victaulic is launching its new Victaulic StrengThin 100 Series E125 Installation-Ready butterfly valve, an ideal solution for HVAC applications. In response to customer requests for more efficient valve installations,
the Series E125 butterfly valve offers the best of both worlds: the benefits of a grooved valve combined with the ease and speed of installation of an Installation-Ready coupling. By encasing the capability of a rubber-lined butterfly valve within a coupling, the Series E125 valve reduces the overall footprint, considerably speeds up installation and reduces weight by almost 50 per cent compared to a flanged valve assembly. DJ Wolbert, product manager at Victaulic, commented: “An installation-ready valve was the next logical step for us. Our new valve can simply be pushed on grooved pipe or fittings and by tightening two bolts and nuts, installation is complete. This is up to 10 times faster than wafer valves with flanges.” Specifically designed for use on thin wall stainless steel pipe featuring the StrengThin 100 groove profile, the rubber-lined valve protects against leaking and ensures easier maintenance – all in a compact, easy-to-install design, suitable to be fit into tight spaces often associated with HVAC systems. The Series E125 butterfly valve is lighter in weight and allows for full 360-degree orientation, so it fits into tight, irregular spacing. Its economic design means there are no loose parts, making it safer and quicker to install – without the need for star-pattern bolt and nut tightening. The compact design allows for a cheaper, faster, cleaner and safer installation process.

Samsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe now has a wall-mounted air conditioner platform with R32 refrigerant, featuring its wind-free cooling technology and smart control functionalities. Air conditioners with wind-free technology follow a three-step cooling mode to achieve the users desired environment. In wind- free cooling mode, fresh air is dispersed gently and evenly through thousands of micro-holes, creating a ‘still air’ condition. The wall-mounted range optimises the cooling process with its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Auto Comfort feature. AI Auto Comfort analyses room conditions, user-preferred temperatures and cooling modes to automatically switch to the most appropriate setting. The units can be controlled and monitored remotely by using the Samsung SmartThings App. With Samsung Bixby voice control the unit can be told what the user wants via the smartphone. These new air conditioners use Samsung’s energy-efficient digital inverter Boost compressor, allowing consumers to maintain their desired temperature while reducing energy consumption.
It has a built-in motion detect sensor that tracks user movements to cool efficiently while avoiding wasting energy.
