First Words A


fter a successful first-time visit to ISPO Munich, I was


fortunate to have the opportunity to meet many outdoor company


representatives and get the chance to view first hand some impressive products. It struck me, how most are making a strong


statement on protecting the environment and finding innovative sustainable solutions. And it’s not just me who has noticed, with


many companies receiving recognition from ISPO in its array of awards. In this edition of SGB Outdoor, we have


touched on all the innovation at ISPO which welcomed a growing number of outdoor exhibitors boasting ingenious new products, including the Scottish sock sensation that is taking the world by storm with is eco- friendly socks. We also have interviews with the Camping


& Caravanning Club on the state of the industry; and a highly inventive British company that makes tents with a difference. We also look forward to the Kendall


Outdoor Retail Show in July which will have plenty of interest for the specialist outdoor retailer.
